I my electrician used similar thing when putting cables under the floor.
However, he used plastic covers, instead original wood and these rings.
I think that's better, because if original circle (cutout) breaks, you
end up with the hole.
Also, if you need to do it over joint (to put cable through the wooden
joist) like he did, you don't have cutout to fill the hole.

Hello all, just joined and first post!.

Might aswell be something usefull.

For anyone who has the nightmare of retro fitting equipment in houses
with the dreaded chipboard floors.

A nice piece of kit from TREND.

Makes nice round holes in your floors with a special insert to enable
you access for wiring / equipment etc etc.

I have seen builders fit these after a problem only to inform the
client that it was a security hideaway for money! (another great use
for it)

You need a router to use it.
