To answer the questions:

You have missed the bit, despite the fact it's been discussed many 
times over the last five years, where the group is a Community, who 
tolerate the occasional off-topic post of something members find 
funny, provided it is non-offensive.

I posted it because I found it amusing, and thought that others might 
do so.

If you note the subject line, it includes the magic words
"off-topic".
