Unfortunately not..... I bought a MemoZap from www.pacelink.co.uk - it
sends the backup command periodically.... the problem with that is, if
you want to use interactive, it kicks you out every so often when it
sends the backup. I generally don't use interactive, or when I do want
to look at BB when its not on live, I move the IR sender from the
MemoZap out of the way.

The MemoZap goes through a 9v battery in about a month... I connected
mine to an el-cheapo multi way adapter.

The alternative is to have something else regularly send the backup
command.... eg a PC based IR device, HomeVision, Pronto etc (would eat
your Pronto batteries and make your Pronto busy every X minutes though)

Alas, the one advantage of Sky+.... sky know how annoying the red dots
are and they are not recorded by Sky+.... !
