My new mainboard has USB 2.0

I don’t have any peripherals that support it yet, but all the friendly debate has resulted in a question.

Is USB2.0 the same as say U160 SCSI that if you connect one slow (USB 1.0) peripheral anywhere in the chain then the entire controller falls back to USB 1.0 speeds?

What about if you have USB 2.0 peripherals connected to one port, and USB 1.x connected to the other (even though the ports share the same controller)?

Anyone?

Tim.
