Yep no probs.... some suggest running it monthly till you hack it then
switch to lifetime when you know you've not killed it... :D I just
lifetime subbed from the start because I was more confident about
hacking it.... :)

Don McAllister did a fabulous detailed walkthrough, in the files area of
UKHA_Tivo . It's aimed at getting things into MPEG-2 for burning to DVD,
but you could encode to anything at the last stage. I've used it to take
a lot of stuff to MPEG-2 for DVD and to MPEG-1 (I think that's SVCD at
half DVD res, but might be called something else) which my DVD player
happilly accepts too.
