RIO's in Sync- Sometimes

Whilst trying out the new rio clients,(which allow you to tune into a
shoutcast stream directly), i looked at the problem of whole house
audio using the rio's again.(just to impress people at parties).
Using my home shoutcast server i watched my two connected rio's each
get there own shoutcast stream and you can see the delay between the
two in the shoutcast server log. Going through jreceiver always gave
2-3 secs between the two, but going directly from the rio to the
shoutcast server improves things. In the end what i did was to tune
the two rio's to my shoutcast server, then kill the server and
restart again, the shoutcast application will reconnect the streams
automatically and maybe 1 in 3 times the connection times would be
good enough to appear to be in-sync.

The server has only 1 sec timestamps in the log, so its possible to
have the same timestamp but still an echo or hollow sound. We really
need the streams to be less than 25msecs apart or we'll hit echo.

I did not change any default shoutcast settings and my PC isn't
hectic either, so there's probably still room for improvement.
