serial driven lcd (wanted or best price)

Guys,

Does anyone know wheres the best place to get a simple serial driven
lcd
screen.  Doesnt need to be any more fancy than 2x20 but does need a
serial
interface.  Im trying to avoid spending a packet or US import just for
a
little bit of testing.  Alternatively if anyone has anything hanging
round
in the spares box they dont need let me know off-list.

If anyone is interested its for an alarm clock for the missus.  shes
wants
it internet enabled with news headlines and stuff so to test out my
tini
board im going for a cheap option before rolling it onto a vfd.  I
have been
considering making it xAP compliant so if anyone would find the tini
java
classes useful for the project then let me know.
