RE: Meteor

I've used SDK 1.0 for one or two simple plugins that I've written, and I've
also DL'd and tried out the SDK 2.0... A couple of points are worth
mentioning...

SDK 2 seems to be a superset of SDK 1. therefore you _can_ use SDK 2 if you
wish, and just not use the additional SDK 2 features if you want to make
sure your plugin is backwards compatible with earlier versions of HS.
Aditionally, you can actually test which version of the plugin architecture
is available on the target machine from right inside your plugin code.
Therefore you can write a plugin which can figure out for itself when it
runs, wheter the SDK2 features are availabel or not, so you could easily
write a portable plugin that will use the additional features if they're
available, but won't if they're not..

SDK 2 does seem a much more friendly way of doing things as well. - no
longer is it necessary to always use obscurely-named virtual devices to
represent data points in your plugin or device. Also, it lets you install
menu items in the Homeseer GUI, under a new Plugins menu..

Food for thought...
