It's not - it's a discussion of "how can one use the TiVo hardware without
using their data feed", then that's different. The TiVo hardware is sold,
standalone, and while it's obviously got a tremendous value-add from using
the data feed, it's certainly not the only way to use it, or the only way
forward.

something Mark M found a while ago.  Of course, you will probably require a
subscription to utilise this - fully or otherwise.
