Can anyone help this guy?

I've told him I don't think there is an all units on command for his first
question, and suggested he look at the reviews of Comfort & Homevision
on
Mark's site for his 2nd question.

I also suggested he join the mailing list, and warend him about the OT
chatter :-)

I have just discovered X10 and am collecting enough hardware & Software
to
try it out. So very new to it all, so I am trying it out with the lights.
Because I have replaced just about every light in the house with energy
saving fluorescent lights, I have to use AM10's. In all the literature I
have read so far there are commands for All Lights On & Off (I assume
the
LM's have a special identity for this) and All Off, which includes AM's. Is
there some way in which an All On command can be sent to AM's? Even if only
on one house code.

Are you aware of any interface, PC or stand alone, that will allow a low
voltage external event to trigger an X10 signal?
I would rather hard wire certain devices, mainly because I can use low
voltage circuits as well as to minimise spurious triggers, but would like
them to generate an X10 signal. Any ideas?

Regards

Fred Brown
