The music ones are only needed on the special Hifi type CD
burners I believe. Maybe a cut of the disc cost goes to the music
industry?

On a PC any CD-R will work fine, but I strongly recommend getting
some good quality CD-Rs, such as Kodak's, as the cheapy-cheap
ones can sometimes be incompatible (reflectivity?) with car and
HiFi systems.

I bought a box of 100 cheapo ones once, and they wouldn't work in
cars or a friends HiFi. Grrrrrr.
