I
bought the latest version (what ever that was) and it clearly stated on the
box
it used caller ID but when I opened the box the CD did not even have
TalkWorks
in the box! I called Symantec and they apologised and said it was a
marketing
mistake and promptly gave me the whole product free, I have always found
Symantec helpful and this was very nice of them. 10 out of 10 t
them.
Oh and
yes the called ID does not work! but on the original version I managed t
collect all bar the last 2 digits of the incoming number, do not know how
but it
almost worked. Shame they do not produce the product now it used t be very
popular.

I used this
too
- now a non supported product though by Symantec - also if you need UK
Caller
ID then it doesn't work correctly - otherwise great.
The original
spec said you could asign routing of calls and specific greetings to
incoming
calls based on the caller id - this never worked and isn't going t be
fixed.

Hi Daniel, I have been using WinFax
Pro/TalkWorks Pro for years on my home PC.
Its actually the
TalkWorks Pro part that might be of use, unfortunately it has not been
updated for years despite what it says on the box! If I remember
correctly the version I have, 2.03, is the most up-to-date.
It sits
in the t ol tray and answers the phone after x-amount of rings
then decides if voice TalkWorks handles it, if Fax then WinFax handles
it, you can also intervene during the out-going message using PCAnywhere
to "take control" of the pc, it is not a perfect program and a bit old
now but generally good.
