I had exactly the same problem on my w2k server...

In the end I picked up an SIIG Cyber 2s1p (http://www.siig.com).  This is a PCI card that provides 2 Serial & 1 Parallel port.  Drivers available for Windows 2000.  Seems to work without fault.  Was about ($80?) when I picked it up in the US... may also be available here.

Don't think this is OT, but anyway,

I am running W2K and in desperate need of more serial ports t control all the gadgets.
Can anyone recommend any add-on cards?. I have looked at some, but these all seem to be several hundred pounds?!?!

A card with min of two ports needed, but more would be better.

Any suggestions? (of any kind)

cheers

John
