I also believe (correct me if I'm wrong, please!) that the Philips one
includes a Timer which is missing on the Marantz model?

At least I believe this applied back in the days when there was only
the 1Mb model available which is what I use.

The Pronto is just fabulous. That's the short and simple version. It
could use more hard buttons which you can feel for in the dark, but
that's fixed in the lovely Pronto Pro model.

But the one button running a long macro to 'do stuff' is just a winner
every time. I still get a kick of showing friends the "Watch a
DVD"
button, pressing it, then putting the remote down with a big grin on
whilst it turns everything on, configures whatever, and then ejects
the DVD tray ready for the disc. An absolute winner!
