    Haven't tried it yet but it comes with a wall wart type psu so I guess the answer is it needs mains power. I don't know if there is a low power mode that might work for a few peripherals but I am guessing not.

Possibly a dumb questions, does the EasiDock have to be plugged into the
main, or can it run from batteries or power from the USB?
