Campbell

from memory it is the CU500 Colour without PIR, I have now sorted my
problem
and the cam works fine (See my earlier post for details of what I did).

In fact I was pleasantly surprised at the quality when using it through a
professional rackmount multichannel modulator (only problem I have now is
finding 8 free channels the wife wasn't impressed when I wiped out
terrestial
ITV ;).

I know the cameras are low grade but does the quality of the modulator make
a
difference?

I also ran my TRV900 DV cam through the modulator and was amazed at the
clarity of the picture. Before anyone says it no I will not be using the
modulator for AV purposes I got it specifically for the CCTV cams.

I guess I need to do some comparisons as I have a couple of cheapo
modulators
including the one that plugs into the response cam switcher.

Thanks to all who gave advice on getting the cams up and running.
