After the first beta of Homeseer Phone I asked for Events to be run using
DTMF tones from a phone and it was there in the next beta. HSP works quite
well for me but I am not using the Caller ID function as I have CallerID
built into HAL-TV. HSP & HS run on my main PC connected to my NTL line
which
does not support CLID. Our main phone line is BT and supports CLID with a
PACE modem. Talking about CallerID, Maplins have one for £8
https://catalogue.maplin.co.uk/direct/promo.asp?itemID=2153&PromoName=
My NTL line is always connected to the internet so I may change HSP to the
main line and HAL-TV. I would then only have HSP answer if the call was
from
my mobile (to control using DTMF) while all other calls are passed to the
exisiting answering machine. This creates the problem of not being able to
phone home to speak using my mobile! A bit of thinking is required but I
don't know when I will have the time...
