Yes, that would be useful, thanks. I think I pretty much have it
sussed now - it seems to be with the parallel port mode. If the mobo
parallel port is in ECP mode, it looks as tho the line drivers are
totem-pole, rather than open collector, and the tw7223 is only able
to drive the line down to about 3v when it wants to output a logic
zero, which is way above the TTL threshold. Putting some stronger
pull-ups on might also fix it - I haven't tried that.

I have code to detect the current parallel port mode and switch to
SPP (bog standard mode) as appropriate, but this won't be finished
until I get back.
