I do the same with YUV to my plasma over Kat5 - the spare channel in
my case is used for digital audio.

>From what I can tell - HD over Component will be supported for a while
yet - but as you say, once it's superseded on the newer HD boxes (or even
turned off on v1 boxes), were stuffed!
