Andy,

At the moment, I use my work laptop which I dump onto the LAN in the
study when I get in.

It has a TV out - it's a Compaq Armada M300...

what TV card are you using...and does this ^ mean that you can
specify what applications go to the monitor and what applications go
to the TV out??
