The ftp client is smart ftp
I have tried pasv and not pasv
And nothing
I have managed to get the web working from outside by reseting the
mv1000 to it's defaults and starting the configuration again

Isn't ENOSYS a synonym for "not supported"?
What FTP client are you using? Have you tried another? Are you using
Passive FTP mode? If not, give it a go.
Sorry, I can't be explictly helpful - mine just worked.
