From
your description it appears to me you have a dual emitter on Zone1. The
LED's
are in series so will have only 50% of the power of the single emitter. As
you
appear to have ruled out optical problems by stating thet when the zone1
emitters are unplugged it leaves 2 possibilities.
1. The
expansion board is faulty (unlikely but possible)
2. You
have a programming error and are actually sending to Zone 1 as
well.
Get
some visible LED's and wire them up instead, then you can SEE what is
happening.

Set up is this:
I
have 2
amps on IR Zone 1 both are sony but use different IR codes. I have a
sony
amp on zone 2 which has a single emitter but uses identical IR codes to
one
of the above amps.
If I send macro's to zone 1 the zone 2 has no
effect
at all.Thats input selection and volume.
But If I send commands
to
zone 2 then zone 1 is effected. Only use inputs for this amp.
To
make things more interesting there is a 4th amp that uses the same
codes as
one amp on zone 1,1 amp on zone 2 and this amp is on zone 8. When
sending to this zone all is ok and when sending to zone 1 and 2 all is
ok.
I have unplugged zone 1 and sent commands to zone to and the
problem stopped. I have tried amps on different zones but end up so
confused when doing this and the problem seems to move
around.
Its a
messy set-up and one I must sort out but if Homevision was ever
CE approved
and I was installing it and someone had like you say 5 devices the same
then are you going to get this problem??
I hope its not the board
itself.
Other odd thing is some IR leads have led lamps so when I
use
zone 2 and zone 1 triggers you might expect zone 1 to flash but it does
not.So it must be a weak signal leaking through.
Other point I
thought about is when I brought my unit plus board I had a 9v dc power
supply. When I brought the unit for this office that came with
12vDC would
this have any effect??
Maybe this explanation will
help.
Please
call me if you have any ideas and a few mins to
spare
