ARRRRRRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
NO!!!!!!!
If only it were that simple!
If the oven is a simple convection oven then 99/100 yes this is okay and
it's usually fine to use a 13A plug top for connecting it up. Problems
arise when some plonker decides to run a hob from the same 13A socket,
guess what...you get problems!
If it's a fan oven then I would advise it goes on a spur, most are okay
on a 13A fuse, but particularly with multi function jobs, they can draw
too much current and pop the fuse.
For a pyrolitic (self-cleaning oven) or a proper double oven don't even
think about it...30A fused spur every time. Trust me, I've seen way to
many problems caused by this and you really want it sorted *before* you
build it in.
If the oven has one of those funky solar grill things they can eat fuses
too, just depends on the usage.
*DO NOT* ever run an electric hob from a 13A socket in any shape or form
and always use heat resistant cable for ovens and hobs, especially where
the hob is directly above the oven!
I could go on, but I'll stop now.
