Well NEC, pioneer etc sell a 3 yr warranty for about a grand, which would suggest to me a high probability of something going wrong in that time....... :(

How long does a plasma screen last, and what happens with old age? Hopefully longer than a projector lamp... but as long as a TV tube?

I seem to recall some info on optimum screen size vs optimum viewing distance....anyone know where I can fin this info?

with a 13 year old 25 inch state of the art (then) Mitsubishi which is gonna give up the ghost one of these days ;)

Indeed. I'd rather spend that Plasma kind of money on a proper
size front projection setup ! I don't see the point of spending that
kind of wonga on an extra 10 inches over my CRT telly.
