Keith,

I went in five phases, each getting "benefit now!"

1: Pronto (immediate application in the hi-fi)

2: X-10 IR receiver and light/switch modules for bedroom (adds to the
Pronto functionality)

3: More modules (once I'd proved to SWMBO that X-10 was OK), and a CM12

4: A HomeVision

5: X-10 PIRs

.... future developments include

- Actually getting around to install Ian's Beam Break unit (which is
very easy to interface to the HV's I/O ports.)

- More/better PIRs (occupancy direction = black art)

- More runs of X-10 controlled lighting to the garden (current = LV
Halogen on _appliance_ module)

I'm not sure how much I will need to control. At the moment I'm thinking

of just lighting but "away" mode would be good, plus PIR
controlled
stuff.
I can see it will soon outstrip a basic CM11.

I want to avoid spending loads up front but I also want to avoid buying
stuff
that I will be upgrading later.

Ocelot seems a good price vs functionality deal.
