Perhaps a half way house solution would be to encourage members to
use 'standard' prefixes in their posts, so you would get
HS: I have a HomeSeer problem
HV: Aliens stole my Home Vision controller!
etc and those who want to can either set up filters in their mail
proggies to bin such emails, or just choose not to read anything with
a certain prefix.
Of course, everyone won't have the dicipline to do this all the time,
but if we can manage it a lot of the time then it might help ppl with
volume issues.....
