The Yahoo preferences allow you to select one of two email
modes http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs
(quote):-
------------------------------------------------------------
* Convert to HTML. Convert plain-text email sent to me to HTML
mail
* Do not convert to HTML. Don't change the format of email
sent to me
Note: The HTML format allow you to see colors and graphics in
your messages (AND NICE PRETTY LIPSTICK ADVERT IMAGES).
------------------------------------------------------------
This means if you send HTML mail (like you did), I can choose
to recieve it as HTML or HTML. However if you send it as plain
text, I can receive HTML or Plain text!!!

My mail reader (Outlook) displays hyperlinks just fine in
Plain text mode.
