sure if it's for public distribution yet, so I'll just post the obligitory
teaser screenshot here. Basically, he wrote a Rio-side webserver that sends
a very simple java applet back to the browser. This applet can then access
certain data streams patched out of the kernel, and can be used to remotely
see what's happening on your Rio, and even to control it from your
computer.

Note the "even control it from your computer" bit :)
Of course, it may never materialise, but there's always hope... Now with
all those Fujitsu tablets shortly to be flying around, centrally and
locally
controlled whole house audio (well, MP3) moves ever closer (now if only
you'd ordered four Rio Receivers/DDARs instead of the one)
