I

I tried one of these serial & parallel->USB jobbies for my laptop,
which has
only a single USB port, but most things didn't work :-(
Mainly, I think because the USB jobbies emulate a virtual windoze COM port,
but the devices all want to talk to a real one as if they were under DOS or
something, so they just don't get on at all :-(((
